PhonePe soundbox, without the box
PhonePe's SmartSpeaker is a separate device with its own rental and charging. UPI Alert does the same job with the phone already on your counter: when a PhonePe payment lands, the phone says the amount out loud.
How it announces PhonePe payments
PhonePe and PhonePe Business both show a notification for every payment you receive. UPI Alert reads that notification, with your permission, and speaks it with a short chime: “250 rupees received on PhonePe.” It works with the screen off and the phone face down in a drawer, and it keeps working during a rush because it never needs you to unlock anything.
The app does not log in to PhonePe and never sees your UPI PIN. It only listens for the notification PhonePe already sends, which is why setup takes two minutes and needs no visit from anyone.

If most of your customers scan one PhonePe QR and you want a dedicated loudspeaker, the device is a fine choice. If customers pay through whichever app they have, and you would rather not manage another gadget, the phone is the better soundbox.

Questions
Does it work with PhonePe Business?
Yes. Both the PhonePe consumer app and PhonePe Business are supported, along with the business apps of Paytm and Google Pay.
Does it need my PhonePe login or UPI PIN?
No. UPI Alert never asks for a login, PIN, card or bank detail. It reads the payment notification PhonePe shows and speaks it.
Can I use a Bluetooth speaker?
Yes. Pair any Bluetooth speaker with your phone and the announcements play through it, which helps in a noisy market.
