Use case · UPI Alert
A soundbox for your kirana store, on the phone behind the counter
A kirana counter is the busiest place a UPI payment lands. Hands are full, the queue is three deep, and the customer says “ho gaya”. UPI Alert lets the phone confirm it out loud so nobody has to stop.
What changes at the counter
- No more “dikhao”. The phone says the amount and the app. You and the customer hear it together, so the payment screen never has to be shown.
- Every app, one voice. Customers pay through Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or straight from a bank app. All of them are announced the same way.
- Works from the drawer. Screen off, phone under the counter, announcements still play. Pair a Bluetooth speaker if the shop is loud.
- Aaj ka galla, live. Today's total and the number of payments sit on the home screen. At closing time the number is already there.
Cash and UPI in one khata
UPI credits enter the cashbook by themselves. Add cash sales and the day's expenses in two taps, and the balance is always current. The weekly and monthly reports split sales by day and by app, and export to a PDF for your accountant or the bank.
Your QR, without the standee
Save your UPI ID once and the app gives you a scannable QR. Share it on WhatsApp for home deliveries, download it for a printout, or pin it to the home screen so a customer can scan the phone itself.
In the language of your shop
Announcements in Hindi, Hinglish, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Assamese, Punjabi or English, and the whole app follows. Change it any time from Settings.
Questions
Does it need internet?
The announcement itself does not. It plays as soon as your payment app shows the notification, which is the same moment the payment app learns about the payment.
Can two staff phones both announce?
Each phone that receives the payment notification can run the app. If only the owner's phone gets the notification, only that phone will announce.
