Looking for a Paytm soundbox alternative?
A Paytm soundbox announces payments made to your Paytm QR. If your customers also pay by PhonePe and Google Pay, or you would rather not pay rent on a device, an app that announces every UPI payment from the phone itself is the practical alternative.
What a device soundbox cannot do
- It announces payments to its own company's QR. A Google Pay payment to your bank QR stays silent.
- It needs charging, a place on the counter and a working mobile network of its own.
- It costs a rental or a one-time price, and a replacement when it fails.
What UPI Alert does instead
Your UPI and bank apps already show a notification for every credit. UPI Alert reads those notifications, with your permission, and says the amount aloud: “120 rupees received on Paytm.” It covers 57 apps, including Paytm, Paytm for Business, PhonePe, Google Pay, BHIM, BharatPe and the bank apps, in 13 Indian languages. There is nothing to charge and nothing to replace.
Beyond the voice, the app keeps the day's collection on one screen, adds UPI credits to a cashbook by themselves, builds weekly and monthly reports with a PDF, and holds your UPI QR for sharing.
Keeping both
Many shops keep the Paytm box for its QR and add UPI Alert for everything else. The app's announcement comes from the phone, so the two do not interfere. If you want one voice only, lower the device's volume and let the phone speak.

Does UPI Alert replace the Paytm QR?
No. It does not process payments or provide a QR for collection. Keep your existing QR; the app saves your UPI ID so you can share a QR image, but the money still goes through your UPI app.
Is it a Paytm product?
No. UPI Alert is made by Auspo Apps and is not affiliated with Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay or NPCI. App names are trademarks of their owners.
What if a payment comes without a notification?
Then the app cannot announce it. Keep notifications on in your payment apps, and confirm large payments in the app before handing over goods.
