These Terms govern your use of the Staff Book app (the “App”), provided by Auspo Apps (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App does
Staff Book is a record-keeping tool for small businesses: a list of your staff, daily attendance with overtime and advances, a monthly labour report with salary calculation and a PDF you can share, and a simple cashbook. Everything is stored on your phone and the App works without internet.
The App is free. It does not pay wages, hold money, file returns or connect to any bank, payroll or government system, and it is not affiliated with any of them.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Indian law.
3. Calculations are a convenience, not advice
- Salary, overtime and net-payment figures are computed from what you enter: salary type and amount, overtime rate, attendance and advances. They are only as correct as those entries.
- The App does not know your local wage laws, statutory deductions, bonuses, leave rules or contracts. Check every payment before you make it, and keep the records the law requires you to keep in the form it requires.
- Nothing in the App is legal, tax, accounting or HR advice.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the information you record about your staff, for telling them what you record, and for using it lawfully.
- Keep your phone and its screen lock secure, and share PDF reports only with people entitled to see them.
- Back up what matters to you. Data lives only on your phone; if the phone is lost, reset or the App is uninstalled, the data is gone and we cannot recover it.
- Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or interfere with the App, or use it to build a competing product.
5. Your content
Everything you enter belongs to you. We never receive it, and we claim no rights over it.
6. Our intellectual property
The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your devices for your business, under these Terms.
7. Third-party services
The App is distributed through Google Play and runs on Android. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their availability or conduct.
8. Changes and availability
We may improve, change or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep the App working on current Android versions but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or data — including losses from an incorrect calculation, a lost or corrupted record, or a decision you make based on the App. Because the App is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to ₹1,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of the App, your treatment of the people whose data you record in it, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may end the licence if you breach these Terms. Sections 3, 6 and 9–14 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under consumer protection law. Please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept them.
