Privacy Policy

- Everything you enter — staff details, attendance, overtime, advances, cashbook entries — is stored only on your phone.
- The app has no internet permission. It cannot send anything anywhere, and we run no analytics, ads or crash reporting in it.
- There is no account and no sign-up. The only permission it asks for is Contacts, and only if you choose “Add from contacts”.
- Uninstalling the app deletes all its data.
1. Who we are
Staff Book (the “App”, package com.auspo.staffbook) is published by Auspo Apps (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the App handles and the choices you have. It applies to the App on Android. How the auspoapps.com website itself handles visits is described in our website privacy policy.
2. Information the App stores on your phone
- Staff records: name, mobile number, salary type (daily, weekly or monthly), salary amount and overtime rate.
- Attendance: for each staff member and day, whether they were present, absent or off, overtime hours and any advance paid, with optional notes.
- Cashbook: cash-in and cash-out entries, amounts, dates, notes and, optionally, the staff member they relate to.
- Reports: the monthly labour report is generated on demand from the records above. If you tap “Generate & Share PDF”, the PDF is written to the App's private storage and handed to the app you choose to share it with.
- Settings: the language you pick.
All of this lives in a database inside the App's private storage on your phone. We cannot see it, and no other app can read it. It is not backed up to any cloud service by us.
3. What we collect
Nothing. The App does not request the Internet permission, so it has no way to transmit data. It contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK, and it does not create an account or identifier for you. Google Play may collect installation and crash statistics under Google's privacy policy; we do not receive personal data from that.
4. Android permissions

You can decline the Contacts permission and add staff manually. The App asks for no other permission.
5. Your staff's information
The records you keep in the App are about other people — your staff. You are responsible for telling them what you record and for using the information lawfully, for example only for attendance, wages and related bookkeeping. Because the data stays on your phone, keep your phone's screen lock on and share PDF reports only with people who should see them.
6. How long data is kept and how to delete it
- Records stay on your phone until you delete them in the App (staff, attendance and cashbook entries can each be deleted) or clear the App's storage.
- Uninstalling the App, or Android Settings → Apps → Staff Book → Storage → Clear storage, deletes everything at once. See Delete your data.
- PDF reports you shared with other apps or people remain wherever you sent them.
7. Children
The App is meant for business owners and is not directed at anyone under 18. It does not collect personal data from anyone, children included.
8. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the App starts collecting any data — for example an optional backup — we will update this policy first, post it here with a new “Last updated” date and explain it in the App before it happens.
